Snow, Ice, Snowy Ice, etc.

Good Morning my Grassologists,

This weather is driving me crazy. Well, not really! I'm enjoying some much needed time off and skiing is helping me relax. However, it's actually time to get back to work. My machines need fine tuning so your lawns look their very best. Supplies need to be ordered...on that note, I may be trying a hybrid-mix this year. The first two applications, as you know, are to control crabgrass. There is NO hybrid available that can compete with what I already use - Dimension plus Fertilizer. Although I would like to start off the new year with a new Hybrid, I'm choosing not to do this. I would much rather use a synthetic on your lawns than deal with missed crabgrass in late summer/early fall. As you are also aware, there is no granular or natural/organic weed control that even compares to what I use - Momentum FX. A weed-free lawn is what we strive for and Momentum FX delivers.

The BIGGEST news this season is that I was able to purchase (thanks to all of my Grassologists) new computer software. This software is really nice and will allow the Doctor to streamline everything. I'm still getting used to this new creature so bear with me. *****

*****On that note, I'm not going to mention the name of the software just yet. Why? Because I do not know if I like it 100%. When I mention a product, service, etc. on my blog, that means I have used it and recommend it whole heartedly. Until that time, it will remain nameless. I do this with colleagues as well. I am constantly asked for landscaper's and grass cutter's names. Until I have seen their work, I will not recommend them. In addition, their work MUST have been on property that I own. This way, I not only see the end product, I see how they conduct business before - during - and after the sale. Anybody can see the end result and appreciate good work. However, customer service, as you know, is HUGE with me. So, long story short, if a product or company name is used on this blog, you know that the Doctor has used it and has given his 100% approval.

TIP OF THE DAY...try not to use the same path when walking on your lawn when there is snow on the ground. Although you can not see the grass, it is still being packed down and may result in pink snow mold come spring!
