Happy 4th of July

Thumbies,

Can you believe it is July already? Seems like yesterday that I was preparing my machines for spring servicing. Well, it actually was yesterday that I was preparing my machines but it was for M3 servicing (summer). Remember, this servicing is nitrogen and weed control, as needed. Grub control (preventative) is completed. Any grub control applied after July 4th is risky. Also remember, this nitrogen will be decreased a little since the weather is normally dry...to prevent burning.

Now...for Japanese Beetles......

BEETLES...Can’t Buy Me Love!

Japanese Beetles will soon be giving you A Hard Day’s Night and wrecking havoc on your trees. Within days, the local home improvement stores will look like a Revolution has occurred with frantic customers purchasing bag-a-bug bags. My recommendation is to Come Together and NOT purchase beetle bags. Hey Jude…why would you want more beetles flying over your lawn and plantings than you already have? Maybe you like the thought of changing the beetle bags on a weekly basis, all the while seeing hundreds of half-dead beetles crawling over each other. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, why tolerate the distinctive aroma of dying insects?
Spreading grub control would have eliminated most of the beetles that are presently chewing on your plantings. However, if you neglected to use grub control Yesterday, you can still prevent your trees, shrubs and plants from looking like Helter Skelter. Spraying your trees with a control product will not only control beetles, but will also prevent your green trees from looking like swiss cheese. At this point, you have two choices:

1. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds theory – hope the beetles fly away to Strawberry Fields Forever.
2. I Got To Get You Into My Life Lawn Doctor (should have been a big hit!!) – call the Lawn Doctor today.

You have spent much time and money to make your lawn look beautiful. From Me To You, think twice about those beetle bags. And remember…calling your Lawn Doctor today is your Ticket To Ride to keeping the Beetles away!

TIP OF THE DAY...Spray now and you WON'T pay later!
